My 8 year old niece and I went and saw "Up!" on Saturday night . . . it's Disney's new Pixar movie. It's about a cranky old man (voice by Ed Asner) who takes a ballon flight in his house (using hundreds of thousands of helium balloons) and ends up taking a Boy Scout with him. In true Disney style, there's choices to be made, hints of sadness, and a happy ending (well, what the heck else did you expect?). We both enjoyed the show immensely. For anybody that's even remotely young at heart, I recommend it. Go in with light expectations, and you won't be disappointed.
On a side note, today was the local SPCA's bi-annual Dog Jog, which is one of their main fundraisers. The training school I work for did an agility and rally obedience demo. I brought Grace with me, and ran her through the rally-o course a few times. She did very well, and is set up nicely for her rally trials next weekend. If she passes all three trials, she can earn a new title! I also ran her through the agility course (modified to dis-include the weave poles), and she did awesome for me! She ran a combination of roughly 8 obstacles without missing a beat, despite my relatively poor handling and a VERY clumsy rear-cross as she went into a tunnel. It was exhilirating!
Hope your weekend was a good one . . .
